A-Z Reflection

This is the real last post for the A-Z Challenge. It's the 'reflection' post. And so, upon reflection, I have come up with the following:

  • The challenge is much more difficult when I do not have prepared posts ready to go and have to write them on a daily basis. While teaching technology to 705 students every week. Yeah, that was fun. However, it is a CHALLENGE and I did accept said CHALLENGE. So I did it. No regrets.
  • I got stuck several times for words that began with certain letters. This is not new. It's happened before when I participated in the challenge on Empty Nest
  • I enjoyed combining some letters. But I left out 'U'. Good grief. How does one leave out a letter? I've been familiar with the alphabet for over half a century now. Sheesh.
  • I did not have time to read nearly the number of posts I wanted to read and, when I found out about the Road Trip linky, I was so excited. Until I discovered that the linky was closed. WTF? So, I shall go through on my own and continue reading blogs because, the ones I did have time to visit, were inspiring, entertaining, thought-provoking...Well worth the time.
  • Perhaps posting Monday-Friday and having BOTH Saturday and Sunday off for writing would be beneficial to those of us who work outside the home as well as enjoy the challenge of blogging. But that would probably throw the count off so...

All in all, it was a good time, as always. Will I do it again? We'll see, when April rolls around in 2016. :)

  1. I enjoyed everyone's A-Z but this year there were only three of my connections doing it. I didn't venture out to find more, but did enjoy those that I am connected to. I've considered doing it the last couple of years. Perhaps 2016 will be the year for me.

    1. It's definitely a challenge. But, once it's over, I'm glad I did it. Not so much during, however. LOL

  2. You left out U? Perhaps I'd better revisit my blog. Sounds like something I would have done.

    1. I left it out but realized it and got a post up after 'V'. I was so excited to have a combined post for 'T' and 'V' that 'U' got left out. Ha!

  4. Every year I learn something new from the A to Z Challenge.
I was less frustrated this year as I did not impose the pressure of "I have to visit every blogger in one month"
So that's why I stopped by Im trying to visit some people who did the A to Z Challenge - hope you had fun!

  5. Glad you survived the challenge. Congratulations! I went through a similar experience, but it must have been so much harder for you, working a full-time job outside the home. Only 2/3 of my posts were pre-written last year and I vowed to get them all done prior to April 1 this time. HA! Only managed to get the first 6 done and I vow yet again, BUT FOR SURE THIS TIME to write them all before it starts in 2016. LOL Hey, at least we got through it ! ☺ Since there was no time in April (too busy writing the damn posts!), I'll be sure to check out your entries. As for the Road Show, the link isn't even up yet - supposed to go live on May 13. Thanks for dropping by The Den earlier. Cheers!

  6. Just now finding your blog through this reflection. Such a large list to tackle. I am a writer so I start with the (WR) blogs as a way to crack the code. This is my 3rd year and I learned the first year, write ahead of time and get them into the queue. The challenge becomes a different experience without all the anxiety of research, writing, photo support during April. They need a T shirt with a saying like Write Ahead and Live to Tell. Sorry we can't have a glass of Sweet tea and exchange war stories of April 2015. Cheers upon finishing!

  8. I made the same mistake this year. Normally I write all of my post in February. It's usually a slow month in court and the kids don't seem to have too many activities . March brings spring break and prom etc., (prom for my kids) and I didn't get anything done that month so I waited until April. I will never so that again. It severely limited my time for visiting blogs. I'm trying to make up for it now by visitng all the reflection posts. What do you mean the road trip sign up is closed. No way! I am so disappointed . I've never participated in that and really wanted to. I can't believe it's already closed . Bummer!!
Congratulations on finishing the challenge and sadly, I guess I won't see you on the road trip . Well, perhaps I will. I might just hijack it or hitchike or something . I love the name of your blog BTW

  9. Hello there.
Congratulations on completing the challenge! This is my second year taking part and one thing I learned from last year was preparation...I had all of my posts done before the challenge started and used blogger's scheduler to preschedule them for the relevant day knowing I couldn't be online everyday...it's what kept me in the challenge until the end! You can still join the Road Trip if you're interested. I just checked and the linky is open for another 12 days. You can sign up here: http://www.a-to-zchallenge.com/2015/05/are-you-ready-to-go-on-5th-annual-post.html
